LEI

Altshuler is the first, only and exclusive firm in Israel to have membership in the LEI Organization (Law Europe International), by which it enables the provision of an international business and commercial legal envelope to all the firm’s clients.

LEI (Law Europe International) is an international law firm organization established over 25 years ago to meet the growing demands of clients in need of support for cross-border transactions and disputes within the EU. Over time, the organization developed and began to “cross borders” outside Europe, with the understanding that the world was becoming one small global village. The organization is a private company registered in England and its registered office is in London.

Our office is the Israeli and exclusive representative of LEI. Adv. Altshuler is currently among the members of the organization’s board of directors, after he was unanimously elected by the organization’s members, taking into account his many years of international activity within the organization.

Today, the network is able to offer clients of the law firms that are members of the organization a personal, cost-effective and partner-guided service provided by more than 800 local certified lawyers.

From its beginning, LEI has remained a strong and cohesive group of law firms that provides real benefits to its members and their clients when they need quality and prompt legal assistance in a foreign jurisdiction.

Working together, LEI members have gained extensive experience in many sectors and industries, including cross-border dispute resolution, international contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, intellectual property and labor law. This background places LEI in a strong position to advise and assist clients in these areas from a risk management and risk mitigation perspective, which are the core to achieving success in almost all cross-border business transactions and/or in any cross-border legal battle.

Customers who benefit from the cross-border relationships of LEI members range from individuals to small, medium and large corporations. The close working relationships that exist between the members, together with the cost-benefit of the services provided by them, are key factors that distinguish LEI. The organization’s members / heads of firms meet physically, at least once per year, each time in a different host country for an annual work meeting, in addition to video meetings and meetings of professional groups in the organization that are held several times a year.

The proximity of the members also allows for the implementation of an attorney exchange program in which lawyers from one firm move to work in another firm, located in another country, for a period of several months and thus get to know the other firm in depth, as well as gain international experience in the destination country.

In today’s evolving global business environment, it’s important to identify and anticipate change. Therefore, in order to meet the emerging needs of the members and their customers, LEI adapts itself, time and again, in accordance with changes in the trends of the commercial / business markets in the world and in accordance with changes in international and local legal perception and, in doing so, holds joint professional seminars for all its members.
